Places i like

I have only lived in London one month but these are the places i like so far..

1. The Hip Parade -391 Station Rd Harrow, London HA1 2AT 020 8424 0666

For cheap vintage and fancy dress outfits.

2. East Finchley - For good charity shops - North London hospice is particularly good, i got a wool ankle length skirt and matching jumper for £6.00.

3. East London Thrift store, Unit 1a Assembly Passage, Whitechapel London. - For everything you will ever need apart from leather skirts as they only have 3. This vintage shop is very reasonable with prices from £5.00, they have a great range of vintage dresses and fur coats i even saw a blue one!

I bought this denim and gingham dress for £10

Where to wear your new outfits?

Catch 22 - Kingsland Road, Shoreditch London - For a good night out and drinks with friends as it has little seating booths with candles down stairs and a Dj booth and dance floor upstairs. Open 6-2 on Friday and Saturday. Tequila slammers - around £3.00.

MIU MIU

This MIU MIU shop is located on New Bond Street, Mayfair surrounded by designer shops and the rich. I love the look of the shop from the outside MIU MIU in gold letters above the front of the shop and displayed on the door, the mannequins are dressed in two dresses from the 2010 Fall collection, one of them a high necked collar dress with floral detailing and a cute pale lilac dress with scalloped edged pockets …I can not wait to get inside. The main colour of the shop is beige, which makes the beautiful MIU MIU clothes stand out even more. The clothes are shown on gold wired mannequins and a whole collection of bags and hats are placed on shelves all around the shop, my eye was drawn to a heavy embellished salmon pink dress with a beaded collar hanging from a gold stand, with prices ranging from £300 - £3000 I daren’t try anything on but enjoy looking closely at the clothes. I feel slightly uncomfortable as the sales assistants keep a watchful eye on me, all dressed in black shirts with matching red lipstick they don’t approach and ask if I need any help, I felt much more comfortable at Hip Parade as it felt lived in rather than an untouched showroom. Towards the bottom of the shop the whole back wall is covered in mirrors making the shop look a whole lot bigger. I would definitely recommend visiting this shop even if you don’t intend on buying anything.
