The Hip Parade

I have walked passed this shop a few times often wondering what kind of shop it is and what it sells. Its hard to tell from the outside but it is a fancy dress shop which hires out 60's, 70's and 80's clothing, there are also sections of clothing which you can buy...i got a lovely pair of maroon cord flares for £10! When you walk inside the walls are covered with clothes, wigs, shoes (mainly platforms and creepers) you don't know where to start, there are also clothes hanging from the ceiling and shoes piled up every where. Its not like the usual fancy dress shop everything is wearable in everyday life (well they are for me anyway) this shop is what i want my wardrobe to be like when im 40. I couldn't believe it when i saw the selection of suede 60's/70's skirts which were in many colours mostly maroon (my favourite) and mustard. I have been looking around lots of vintage shops in london and none of them have clothes as good and as cheap as these. The only thing is most of them are for hire but the owner said if you really wanted something then they would price it up for you and then you can buy it, also if you have any unusual old clothes they may buy them off you. With prices ranging from £7.00 hire for three days - £20 i think it is very reasonable. Ill will definitely be making regular trips!
